Q: What grades does PAFANTX serve?

A: The Premier Academy of Fine Arts of North Texas is a comprehensive high school serving grades 9-12.

Q: Is the school affiliated with any church or denomination?

A: Our partner church is Journey Church: we have common mission statements and statements of faith and belief. However, the school is it's own entity, with school board members from all  over the DFW metroplex.  All of the school board members and leadership team members all  attend different churches. Our Biblical teaching is grounded in apologetics with a focus on  Biblical truth. Our main focus is lifestyle: Teaching our students how to live a life worthy of The Calling.

Q: What types of arts does the school have?

A: ALL! We are a full fine-arts school with Band, Orchestra, Choir, Dance (modern and classical),               Drumline, Piano, Guitar, Creative Writing, Animation, Graphic Design, Filmography, Visual Art,

creation, Photography, & More!  As our school grows, our students will have opportunities to perform in small ensembles with personalized instruction and large ensembles as soon as possible.

Q: How do I enroll my student in the school?

A: The process starts with an audition. Visit the AUDITION page for information. Students who are interested in attending PAFANTX should sign up for an audition. (Sign Up Here.)  After auditions, a determination letter will be sent to the student and parents. If a student does well, the student will be invited to apply, and the family will attend a family interview. The application will be accepted and the student will be enrolled if the family interview goes well and the family wishes to proceed.

Q: Private school is very expensive - are there any scholarships available?

A: We are committed to accepting all eligible students. There are scholarships and financial aid available. Combined with income the student makes - every family will be able to afford the premier, private school education we are providing for our students.

Q:  Does the school offer AP courses or dual credit?

A: YES! We just established a partnership with Oklahoma Christian University. Students will be

to start taking Dual Credit Courses as a Freshman.

Q: Is the school accredited?

A: Not yet. As we are a start-up school, we are not eligible for accreditation yet. We will start the process with ACSI in the spring in order to earn accreditation status by the end of the 24-25 school year. Accreditation means that the school is held to standards of accountability expectations for student performance in all core academic areas. In public school this is determined by state test scores. Our students will be learning all of the Texas state TEKS and will be held to campus learning standards and expectations in order to start tracking student progress and growth. In addition, students will take the TSI, and be offered the SAT and ACT for college admission purposes.

Q: Does the school provide transportation?

A: No - parents and students are responsible for student transportation to and from school. Transportation is only available for school sponsored events.

Q: Are there any sports teams?

A: No - since we are a fine arts academy, all of our time and resources are focused on providing students with real-world opportunities to earn income and gain professional experience by the time they graduate.

Q: We homeschool our students but are interested in participating in the arts events.

Does the school offer any type of opportunities for home-school students?

A: Yes! Students who are just interested in the arts programs may sign up for private lessons or

small-group lessons. Students may also participate in our full-scale program by signing up for  full semester classes. Students who sign up for private lessons AND semester classes are eligible to participate in all of our performance opportunities, including the paid, professional experiences. Sign up HERE.

Q: Are students or parents required to attend church in order to apply to the school?

A: No - church attendance is not a requirement for parents or students.
